Role of the Maintenance Unit Supervisor: Provide day-to-day floor leadership in the Maintenance areas and set an impeccable example in all aspects of the job. Set, communicate, and implement priorities in line with the production Business Plan: •Create and maintain a safe work place that causes no harm to the environment •Manage assets efficiently and cost effectively, including proper equipment operation and equipment availability at world class level •Ensure the long term viability of existing equipment •Maintain a technically-capable maintenance workforce that values diversity and is customer-oriented, responsive, and flexible •Apply ABS concepts and ensure the critical maintenance processes are integrated into day-to-day department operations
Position responsibilities: •Manage, lead, and be accountable for crew EHS performance and practices •Rotating shift supervision of Maintenance craftspeople in an area or as vacation relief •Planning, managing, and executing repair and maintenance plans •Working with production customers and coordinating maintenance efforts between departments •Demonstrating a strong desire to achieve high ratings in EHS, recovery, cost savings, diversity, and quality •Exhibiting and promoting leadership and ownership in the department
Currently, we have two (2) supervisor openings. Basic Qualifications •Minimum of four (4) years of experience in Maintenance. •Must have attended the Unit Supervisor Assessment Center (Asst Ctr), or must be willing and able to attend the eight-hr Unit Supervisor Asst Ctr orientation and evaluation. •Leadership in safety practices/procedures. Preferred Qualifications Certified apprenticeship graduate. •Experience in leading and driving change, handling multiple priorities, and managing a diverse workforce. •Significant computer skills. •Ability to document data. •Ability to produce reports. •Experience in heavy equipment maintenance, reliability and outage management.
