Title Alcoa Program Office Project Consultant Requisition Number 6217BR Job Function Manufacturing / Operations Business Unit Alcoa Corporate Location NY-New York City Job Status Full-Time Relocation Eligible Yes Minimum Education Required Bachelors Minimum Years of Experience 3 Minimum Travel Required 25-50% The Alcoa Program Office is accountable for leading and guiding implementation of Alcoa's strategic priorities as defined by the President/COO and the Executive Council. The APO will support Alcoa leaders at corporate and business levels with problem solving and analytical projects to resolve strategic and general management challenges or questions and develop actionable solutions ensuring business impact.
The APO projects may cover a broad range of senior management topics, including strategic competitive and industry analysis; corporate portfolio strategy development, corporate and BU level growth and performance improvement approaches. To effectively complete its mission, the APO requires the capability to form and lead project teams that (1) analyze and create insights into the industries, markets, competitors and Alcoa's businesses, (2) actively identify core business issues and priorities that help inform and shape the senior leadership dialog across Alcoa and (3) develop solutions with Alcoa businesses that can be implemented.
These newly created positions, APO Project Consultant, are similar to consultants or associates in a strategy consulting firm and participate on project teams led by APO Project Managers.
Key responsibilities include: • Conduct primary and secondary strategic business research and analysis, including survey design, data gathering, basic financial analysis, market analysis, recommendation development, etc. • Conduct interviews and lead group sessions within client organization • Provide business insight derived from analysis and conclude required actions • Work with Project Managers to conceptualize and communicate strategic solutions and achieve results Basic Qualifications The Job Grade for this position will range from 18-20 depending upon education and experience. The candidate should possess:

Experience Required: A Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of business experience or an advanced degree (MBA) or advanced education in social sciences or economics combined 1-3 years of business experience.
