We are looking for a Business Analyst for the Alcoa Program Office Analyst in our New York City, Park Avenue location. The position will require about 50% travel. The position reports to Director of Strategic Planning. The major purpose of this position is to conduct strategic competitive and industry analyses; formulate corporate business level growth and performance improvement approaches. The responsibilities include: • Working with Project Managers to conceptualize and communicate strategic solutions and achieve results • Analyzing and creating insights into the industries, markets, competitors and Alcoa's businesses • Working on business diagnostics (production, sales, inventory, COGS, pricing etc.), develop insights and recommend solutions • Collecting data (quantitative and qualitative) to develop fact base, conduct analyses, and provide solutions based on facts • Contributing to a project/topic by working on assigned tasks and building team relations to ensure project success

About the Alcoa Program Office The Alcoa Program Office (APO) works closely with the businesses to support Alcoa's goal of profitable growth: • Refines and facilitates Alcoa performance dialogue • Defines expectations and timelines for the company-wide improvement programs • Supports business-specific improvement programs • Establishes the "Degrees of Implementation" (DI) logic and tracking system, a framework for monitoring execution of specific actions against defined targets • Communicates program status and shares best practices across the community. Basic Qualifications Requirements: • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Business • Minimum 2 years of business/operations analyst experience at a top tier consulting firm or manufacturing company • Experience in solving operations (e.g., manufacturing, supply chain, procurement) and commercial (e.g., pricing, industrial marketing customer segmentation) business problems • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with superior Excel and PowerPoint skills • Ability to work in a project environment across different assignments and with multiple project managers • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively deal with all levels of employees - including corporate officers and senior executives
